March 15-April 3, 2008: MIGenWeb has moved to it's own domain and server space. This will allow us to develop a more cohesiveness feel that could not be achieved on our old server space. Many county sites have moved also. Please update your bookmarks or favorites. More projects being worked on to make it easier for visitors and also to help those who wish to contribute data.

August 16 2008 - Defunct County Names - Created a page with all the county names that were part of Michigan at one time. Some counties were formed during territorial times and are now a part of other states. You may notice that many of the names have Native American origins in the spellings.
August 16 2008 - Cleaned up all broken links on the main state pages.
May 17 2008 June -Visitor Survey - We have created a survey which is anonymous for visitors to fill out and give us their feelings on what our sites should and shouldn't have online. Let us know what we should concentrate our time on to get online for you. Your registration is only used so that unscrupulous people spam the survey.
April-May 2008 - A transcription area is being developed to help anyone who has data to contribute it to a MIGenWeb county for inclusion.
April 8, 2008 to April 21, 2008 - Site Search Engine added! You can now search all of MIGenWeb at once or go to the county you need. MIGenWeb contains over 38,866 pages of data all donated by volunteers and researchers like you.
April 6, 2008 - Link update for all counties to make it easier for visitors to get to a county site. All county sites can be gotten to by using the address "countyname.migenweb.net" no matter where the county site is hosted. No more long addresses to a county site to remember!

March 22, 2008 - April 3, 2008 - The MIGenWeb state pages have all been gone through, and sections have been added and links updated. We hope this helps visitors find what they are looking for in the site.
March 15, 2008 - The MIGenWeb state project moved to it's new domain name and server space. Some county sites are being updated and moved.
